We are so happy with our new unit
We had to have a new HVAC unit installed because our old one died. We also replaced our 52-year-old ductwork to work best with the new unit. Quality Service Company was the quickest company to respond out of everyone I called, and they didn’t increase prices because we were stuck without air conditioning in August. Gene was super patient with all my questions. The installation team was on time, efficient, and very professional. We are so happy with our new unit. The temperature in the house has never been as comfortable as it is now.
Update one week later: Outside temps have been 85–90 since the new unit was installed. I have increased our daytime temperature 3 degrees higher than we had it set with our old unit and increased the nighttime temperature by 2 degrees, and we’re still cooler than we were with the old unit! I’ve been wearing long pants in the house, which was not possible in the summer with the old unit, and I’m still a little chilly! I should say, we got the Trane gas pack with 2-stage cooling. The unit has barely run in Stage 2 cooling (except on day 1, but we had been without AC for 10 days at that point), maybe an hour a day. And our always-hot great room addition is now comfortable. We’ve been able to cut off or reduce our ceiling fans usage in the house. I am just amazed at how well this unit works.
